On June 18, 2020 Resurrection Grammar School celebrated a very significant occasion, its 91st Commencement. The valedictorian was Michael Kolby and Paul Treusdell was the salutatorian. The class of 2020, comprised of 19 eighth graders, received over $300,000 in scholarships.
Dear Class of 2020:
Your time has come. Congratulations and commendations to each and every one of you on this remarkable achievement of graduation. This is not how I pictured this year to end for the class of 2020. Everyone working remotely. We’ve missed out on all the spring activities. Our school doors are closed up and the hallways resemble a pre-Covid-19 time capsule.
I understand the sadness and sense of loss you are feeling due to the school closures. It’s a rite of passage, drawing to a close 13 years of education that began in kindergarten. One thing I want you to know, is that I am proud of you and grateful that our paths crossed. I will remember the class of 2020 as resilient, courageous, and extraordinary leaders. I am inspired by your compassion and care for others, and your tenacity when facing challenges. I am honored to be remembered as the principal of the class of 2020.
God Bless You!
Love,
Ms. Fonte
