Resurrection Grammar School in Rye, NY to Take Part in 45th Annual Catholic Schools Week
The annual event highlights the educational and community successes of Catholic schools nationwide
RYE, N.Y. - Resurrection Grammar School (RES) in Rye, N.Y. joins Catholic schools across the nation in celebrating Catholic Schools Week 2019, a weeklong tradition of school events and community activities that highlight Catholic education. The Resurrection School community kicks off Catholic Schools Week on Sunday, January 27 at the 10 a.m. mass at the Church of the Resurrection.

The theme for this year's Catholic Schools Week is "Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed". Activities include:
Sunday, January 27 -Kickoff Mass: Begins at 10 a.m., followed by breakfast in the lower church hall.
Monday, January 28 - Student Appreciation Day: Students will make their own ice cream sundaes at lunch followed by mechanical pig races for Fall fundraiser top selling classes.
Tuesday, January 29 - Parent Appreciation Day: Current RES parents are invited to visit their children's classrooms from 9-11 a.m.
Wednesday, January 30 - Spirit Day and Faculty vs. Student Games: Games will feature pre-K and kindergarten in a beanbag toss competition at 9 a.m., third grade in a basketball game at 10 a.m. in the grammar school gym and eighth grade in a volleyball game at 1 p.m. in Doty Gym.
Thursday, January 31 - The Brain Show Assembly: A special team event game show where children and faculty get the chance to participate. Shows will be held in Doty Gym; K-3 from 8:45 - 9:45 a.m. and grades 4-8 from 10 -11 a.m.
Friday, February 1 - First Friday Mass (9 a.m.) and Family Bingo Night (6:30 p.m.)
For the first time this year, Resurrection Grammar School is participating in the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) day of giving campaign: "
Many Gifts, One Nation: A Day of Giving to Catholic Schools." The 24-hour event begins at noon on January 29 and serves to support development programs in Catholic schools throughout the country.
